HEAT ADVISORY until 10 p.m.

We are almost done with the extreme humidity and heat! That said, we still have to get through today before the humidity and air temperature both drop considerably for tomorrow and into the start of the weekend.

By this point, you are probably used to taking precautions for the high heat, but please continue staying heat smart today.

Check on your pets - make sure they stay hydrated and stay off of hot surfaces. Also, remember how dangerous cars can be when they are shut off in this heat - leave no one or no pet behind in a hot car. Those situations can turn deadly within minutes.

After today, much more comfortable air settles in along with beautiful weather for Friday and Saturday. Outdoor plans for Sunday are more in question due to off-and-on rain.

TODAY: HEAT ALERT - STRAY SHOWER/STORM - Partly sunny. Highs around 93 degrees will feel like triple digits thanks to very high humidity again. Take breaks from the heat and drink plenty of water. A couple of showers are possible in the morning and while an isolated thunderstorm is possible in the afternoon, a majority of the day will be dry.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with gradually lowering humidity. Lows near 70 degrees.

FRIDAY: BEAUTIFUL! Dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs around 84 degrees with low humidity. Lows near 64 degrees.

SATURDAY: FEELING GREAT AGAIN! A mix of clouds and sun. Warm with low humidity. Highs around 85 degrees. Lows near 69 degrees.

SUNDAY: SCATTERED SHOWERS — Mostly cloudy with scattered rain. Outdoor plans do not look great weather-wise with periods of rain possible through the day off and on. Highs around 82 degrees. Lows near 68 degrees.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny. Highs around 84 degrees. Lows near 66 degrees.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs around 83 degrees. Lows near 63 degrees.
