A doctor from New City is accused of defrauding the state.
Lena Samuel, 47, allegedly collected nearly $27,000 by claiming to work remotely for the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance while also clocking hours at a Bronx Family Services Center.
She also submitted false doctor notes during her application, according to prosecutors.
Samuel faces grand larceny and more than two dozen felony charges.
