Police in Mount Vernon say a shooting took place Tuesday afternoon inside an apartment at 33 North 3rd Avenue in Mount Vernon.

2h agoPolice in Mount Vernon say a shooting took place Tuesday afternoon inside an apartment at 33 North 3rd Avenue in Mount Vernon.
They say one person was injured.
"I feel frustrated because this is a small community in Mount Vernon. Believe it or not, but this is a very closely knit community," said one woman who was in the area following the shooting.
Mount Vernon Police Department say there is no current threat to the public.
