Hurricane Erin is moving away, and doing so quickly, from the Northeast. But it is still impacting our region, nonetheless.

There will be some coastal concerns though for Westchester County, mainly around the high tide tonight as well as Saturday afternoon. Up to 1 foot of flood inundation is possible along the Long Island Sound shoreline.

The high tides will peak during the 11 p.m. and noon Saturday.

High pressure is moving in tonight into the weekend, giving the region some lovely summer weather. There will be clear skies overnight with wall-to-wall sunshine for Saturday.

Some breezy winds are possible Saturday afternoon as temps climb to seasonal levels and humidity returns to the region. Thankfully, it won't climb into uncomfortable levels. But it will certainly be noticeable.

Mostly cloudy skies Sunday through the day. A rain chance pops up starting midday, but it will be mostly spotty to scattered. More widespread showers will be possible from Sunday evening into Monday as a storm system moves into the region.

Once the rain showers fade by Monday evening, skies will clear out as temps cool down going into the much of the rest of the last week of August.
