A crash on Route 133 in Ossining Monday morning has renewed calls to fix a busy stretch of road known locally as Somerstown Road.
Police say a car crashed into a pole, shutting down the road for hours.
Neighbors say the road is full of potholes and have been pushing for repairs.
"This is exactly the type of thing we fear every day living on this road, and this is something as a group, we are trying to resolve," said June Boyle of the Somerstown Road Action Network.
The driver was not seriously hurt, according to police.
State transportation officials say engineers are working on a long-term pavement restoration plan for the Ossining–New Castle area.
