5h agoA staff member at the Anderson Center for Autism in Hyde Park is accused of assaulting a resident at the Dutchess County care facility.
State police say they responded on Aug. 2 after a report of a resident with visible bruises.
Troopers say Deijeanae Edwards of Poughkeepsie held a pillow against the resident’s face. Staff also reported bruising on the victim’s chest, arms, and shoulder.
Edwards, 22, was arrested and charged. She was released and is scheduled to appear in Hyde Park Town Court later this month.
