Pelham nurse sentenced for stealing fentanyl from Stamford surgical center

Authorities say Kristen Carotenuto took vials of drugs from a Stamford surgical center, used them, then refilled the vials with saline or water and returned them for patient use.

A woman from Pelham who worked as a nurse in Connecticut has been sentenced to five months in prison for stealing fentanyl and other medications.
Authorities say Kristen Carotenuto took vials of drugs from a Stamford surgical center, used them, then refilled the vials with saline or water and returned them for patient use.
The 35-year-old was also sentenced to three years of supervised release.
